changing from 18hrs veg to 12hrs bloom

Just curious how others do it when changing cycles.

when you minus the 6hrs do you take it away from the start,finish or something else.

 

currently I'm on 18hrs (4pm to 10am) when i change to 12hrs i usually subtract from the end (4pm to 4am)

 

I'm really wasted so hopefully it makes sense

Good question.I never thought about it...But I just change to make it easy for me.I guess mine have been coming off the back side,si I would be cutting it off sooner.Not really sure it would mader at all.As long as you dont over sock them(which changing time has nevr done for me)which is almost in possible to do.So like to stress or shock plants right before flowering starts,I have done it outside with great results.Broke a plant and had to lay it down and doing it made my yeaild go way up.Trained it to the ground ans all the lower branches got more sun = more buds.It was wilted from the break and laying it down but made it better in the long run.

SO I AM SAYING IT SHOULDNT MATTER...BUT THAT IS JUST MY GUESS

Never ever thought about that! I take it off the end, just flip down the little pins on my timer....

Not sure if it makes any different but i figure, naturally, out side, the days get shorter...

Sun still comes up the same time, just gets dark earlier...

my timers are set to be off during peak time just to save a bit of $$ don't think it matters to much when they are on just has to be consistent 12/12 or 18/6
