Purple stems and Yellow leaves. . .

I have been attemting to have a go. . . .

I have been using a pot mix with perlite and a mix of searles potting mix and a little lime.

I also have a collection of biobizz and canna products. biobizz Grow,Bloom, Top max and Cannazym, rhiz and pk 13/14.

I ahve been following the directions on the bottle as directed, then I add another ltr of water to half the strenght.

Then adjusting the ph to around 6.

 

Last week the leaves went yellow and curled down on the tips slighty. the top leaves are still green in the veins, but the bottom leaves have yellow leaves with white veins.

To top that the stem from the bottom working up has tuned really deep purple... I had this prob in the uk too.

 

How do I fix athe yellowing and purple too, ???? Please help.

possibly a magnesium deficiency, try treating with epsom salts with your feed (im pretty sure tht sounds right) or possible a nutrient lockout?

You will find a lot more response if you put some pic's up. It is difficult to give answers without them.

I dont have alot of xp with soil, but Purple stems usually indicate PH Lockout which Livo mentioned earlier. This lockout can cause mag deficiency. What nutes are you using, and what PPM. I recommend flushing the plants with plain water and then resuming the regular feeding schedule. Can you give alittle more info on your grow, like how often you are feeding and watering. And acouple of pics would probably be handy aswell.

The purple stems sounds like Phosphorus deficiency, but hard to say with no pics.

I have attached some pics which I hope will help.... I am using nute from BIOBZZ - bio grow veg & bio bloom + top max. I mix to the dirrections on the bottle as reconmended 1ml P/L etc.

then I half the strength of the mix by adding 1 ltr to the mix the EC usually sits around 1.4 -1.6 at the moment.

I proceed then to bring the PH up to around 6 - 6.5.

with this mix I water once a day then watering later with straight rain water.

 

I have flushed the pots as well as upgradding sizes and just water.

There has been no recovery in the leaves (which I am supprised)

Adding a minute dose of rhizo at the mo to reduce stress I hope.

 

I think I will just give up on the whole idea and chuck one out in the scrub.

I think the problem lies in you watering everyday. I'm pretty sure you should only water when the soil is dry to touch, and I think nutes only every other feeding, but you should probably confirm with some of the other soil growers.

Yep lay off the watering every day. Just water when the soil is dry on top prob every 2 - 3 days dependings on temps pot size etc. Don't give up man

More info required - plant age/how many/feed regime (what when how often).

 

If in doubt do nothing EuroWombat - ph'ed adjusted water flush only once. Can u get some pics?

I was watering so often because they where taking it all, This is why I have given them larger pots.
