Iolite vaporizer, who has one?

Recommended Posts

I purchased one of these around 6 months ago, have to say, best investment I have ever made. It really is perfect, portable and discreet. I have taken it to parties where while using it I have been asked what it is, beauty is I have never had to even speak when asked this as others will pike up with their guess such as breathalyzer. If I had to list cons for the Iolite it would be that it takes around 5 minutes to heat up, but personally this doesn't phase me.

What other vaporizers are others using?

I first started vaping around 10 years ago, I can't even remember where I got the idea from but I used a little hand held blow torch and a conical flask, I'd hold the flask by jamming 2 fingers in it, heat it with the blow torch until I had to take my fingers out (this was my temp control) then drop a pinch of well chopped herb in, bung the top and shake around for a few minutes. It worked fine except if you didn't heat it enough you'd get bugger all out of it, heat it too much and you are coughing, that's the great thing with the ones available for purchase with either set temps or controllable temps.

There are a lot of options out there, I still use the old flask and blow torch for vaping hash and even herb I have already used with the iolite if I have no fresh stuff. The main reason I got the iolite is because it is portable (and discreet), if portable isn't required then I'd be looking at the other options.
