Can I turn off HID in bloom for a day or 2?

Recommended Posts

Hi to all

It's been a long time since I have had to turn off my lights in bloom, and I can't remember if

this is a wise thing to do? My Mrs has 2 days off, first time in 3 years and we would really like to

get away but it means turning my 2 x 600's off whilst plants are 4 weeks into bloom- would not

consider leaving them on while I am not here to check on them.

What are the ramifications if I turn them off and they miss 2 days of light, meaning 2 of their

regular light periods, with lights back on the 3rd light period.

Has anyone done this?

Thanks to all

aussie

apart from photosynthesis the plant uses light like humans do, to regulate a hormone....in the plants case 12hours of darkness allows a hormone to buildup within the plant signifying the change from veg to flowering....having the light off for 2 days will put u down on sugar conversion but up on relative hormone count.
