Queensland Police Service and the absence of RDT

Recommended Posts

This is not a news story as such. But more of a reminder how the Queensland Police Service has one lot of standards for civilians in the State of Queenland 'n a different rule book for themselves.

Our QPS is that good. It apears they don't require Random Drug Testing. It's a pity the rest of the public don't agree with them. But then again civilians are probably just ticked off that they can be subjected to drug testing in the workplace and on our roads. And yet officers of the law get to slip through the net, time and time again.

I'm really surprised that ALL police offers are not drug tested by default. anyone in a position of authority/power should be drug tested, even if only to prove they are capable enough to hold the position.

in Amsterdam its very different. I think it happened last year, someone passed a new regulation that police officers cannot use weed/hash while off duty.

the police officers banded together and had it overturned. amazing huh???

I find it quite comical that everyone already knows what happens behind closed doors yet the media make a massive deal about it when it is brought to the attention of the pubic...

in the last year we have been told 2 major facts that are old news... number 1 being that baggage handlers were the ones bringing the major weight cocaine, ICE, smack into the country from over seas...Like Der.... you would have to be petrol sniffing fuck tard to not have figured that out like 10 years ago..... and 2 police in all states are corrupt... but none come even close to that of QLD finest.......... So yes I am for testing police randomly  sorry for the rant... the old man and i cracked a bottle of red and were talking about this very thing :D

omg, that is fuckin rediculous, i cant beleive that they arent tested, these people are supposed to uphold the law so why the fuck should they have the right to not get drug tested when everyone else has to whenever the cocksuckers in blue want? just makes me hate the majority of the qld police force even more. But i suppose as Rocker said there would only be a handfull of qld police left, just makes me wanna piss in a cup and throw it in their face and tell em to test that. (sorry guys just not a fan of police in my town let alone the whole of qld )

I can understand why people want coppers tested, but I think that is pretty short sighted. We all want the green legalised, so I find it ironic that we would want anyone tested. I would like to think we smokers are a pretty tolerant bunch and considering this, are we saying anyone can use it except the police, personally I would rather have people in the job who do partake when thay can, at least we have a bit of a chance if/when we get caught. Personally I know of some people getting verbal warnings for possession bongs, seeds and small amounts of green, (not that that means anything in the sceem of things). I like to think in my higher moments that they are working from the inside.

Personally I blame the Gov't who, if anyone should be tested it shold be them, and not just for pot. I would love to see a complusory breath test for grog before every session, but I think I will see pigs fly first (considering there are no Police helicopters in Qld that could be a very long time).

Lets not intertine abuse of power with drug use, that will make it harder for everybody in the longrun and will reinforce mum and dads perception that drugs are bad.......OK. (sorry bad south park pun)
