chronmasta`s coco cleaning construction

Here`s a coco cleaning rig i just knocked up in about 10mins.

 

All ya need is an 80ltr tub....some clean shade cloth ..and a 20mm drill bit/hole saw(for extra good drainage)

 

I just put about 30 holes into the bottom and lower sides of the tub....lined it with the shade cloth(enough for it to tuck under the bottom corners of the tub)... then chuck in the pre expanded coco and off for a nice boiling hot shower

n cheers shroomy .....i tried the pillow case idea but there was too much mess and i found that the fine grain/mud could`nt get through the material ....this way it washes out all the muck and its cleaner, plus i can get double the amount done in one hit.

thought i should add, .... it would be best to give it the hot water shower for about 2mins and then a good blast with a hose. .... until the water runs clear

Nice one Chron.

 

Though i don't have any shade cloth lying around. What do you think about flyscreen mesh? Would it be too coarse?

Wouldnt hurt mate .....but give it a bloody good rinse b4 ya use it .....i had this shade cloth laying around and it had built up enough dust to choke an elephant

Groovy Chron. I've just been using a length of poly pipe and a half high stocking.... Seems to work well enough but it's messy and can only do one 9 Lt brick at a time....

Thats fuckin awsome Chron cheers heeps, got like 2 dozen old pots with 2 inches of stem n all roots n all old coco sittin there goin Wtf this is gona be a pain in ass , but now the mighty chron has just saved me 70 bux on 2 bags of coco this week.
