hi all,

my grow room is not to high, about 6foot.

i have 2 plants with a 400w HPS each.

both my plants now are monsters, i can only fit 2 in the room, they have been tied back to the light does not burn them.

so i wont be doing that again.

ive been told i should grom about 6 little plants then flower them, he also said i should use perlite and hand water them.

atm im using flood n drain with expanded clay.

just wondering if its worth switching to perlite, or keep the recuirculating system.

man as far as problems go - that's one that most of us would be happy with! :peace:

I agree with Billo that a recirculating system would be far preferable for perlite/expanded clay growing

hand watering would be a real pain in the ass

As far as numbers are concerned, it's really up to you to experiment and see what yields the best - a few monsters or many smaller ones?

Good luck,

Jimbo :peace:

id def keep the recirculating. if you want to control height you could use a ton of different methods, topping, fimming, LST, scrog, anything really. Height is fairly easy to control with MJ

I've seen scrog systems that have yielded 10-14 oz per plant and only grew the plant about 4 foot high (from top of pot), including buds.
