what is the best treatment for bugs?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, had some problems recently with a few bugs. At first i found some small midgy like bugs at the soil level but on investigation I figured its gotta be scarib fly so Have used "neemtech insecticidal pottasium soap" (anyone used it?) and another time i found some webs so figuring its spidermite. Used dead red for that and seems to work.

Any suggestions guys on anything else?

Think I drowned the last one.....my BAD!!

Gotta go will check in later with maybe some more thoughts....

Thanks for that gills. When I say I think I drowned my current one, I think I nearly drowned it. Had a bit of a shuffle round in my room and changed nute tank location. made up new batch of nutes, tested all levels ph, cf etc and got going again. previous to this, these plants were fkn just hammering!!! Then I noticed my nutrients were well down so topped up and re checked levels. Same thing next day, thinkin fk me these babies are THIRSTY!!! Then i get a call from my wife whilst im at work saying theres water all over the floor......PHAARK.....just then I realised that I hadnt opened my drain tap.

Anyways, it has slowed the growth immensely. So Ive turned of my pumps to let the perlite Vermiculite mix dry up/drain a bit overnite but now I have put my water on a timer...15mins per hour.

Does anyone think I should give them a flush with oxyplus and fresh water and if so for how long?

thanks to this forum I have been able to diagnose what ever nutrient may be lacking ie nitrogen etc and been able to rectify it. Given them a foliar spray as well ie we call it rocket fuel, a recipe given to us by our friends at our local hydro shop. seems to work well.

For what its worth, we are growing northern lights, we would really like to get ocean pearl happening again tho. 52 ozs dry out of 2 plants we didnt think was too bad.

Another question is how many times can you keep taking cuttings to clone from the one strain of plant?? How many generations if that makes sense as I had heard that you should only take X amount as it can affect the quality of the end product. TRUE or FALSE please???
