The Cows Wee Planty

Hi everyone I'm pretty new to growing, had a few first tries and failed epically hehe!

I have one plant outside atm, its around 2 months old and TINY but it's alive so for me thats a win

It's growing in a decent potting soil that I'd like to change to something containing Perlite and cow poop when I need to transfer it. I'm feeding it every other day with Charlie Carp starting from about 5 days ago so HOPEFULLY with the nitrogen boost it should really start growing!

*EDIT* I've been looking around the forum, I think I'll transplant it into my bigger pot that I'll paint white, with some shade cloth at the bottom, with Perlite, Cow Poo and Dynamic Lifter soil? What do you guys reckon?

Today I moved the plant into a slightly shaded spot with some of my herbs. I'm worried I'm burning the roots leaving it where it was (on the lawn in full sun).

I'm worried about it still not reallly growing, I think the charlie carp's made it greener and healthier looking but its still not growing UP dammit

I panicked that it wasn't getting enough light and moved it back where it was haha

I'm not experienced by any means but I think, maybe, possibly, you're feeding it way too much.

 

At two months she should be bigger than that. At least I'm pretty sure.

 

Don't quote me tho. Only trying to help, so if I'm wrong I hope someone will say something....

 

The soil looks kinda barky too.

 

I know from personal experience that too much feed is a bad thing and will stunt mary's growth. Bark n wood chips apparently aren't good either.

 

Me thinks you should be getting some good potting mix (I like the Searles premium stuff) and some perlite, making a 50/50 mix and transplant her.

 

But again, if I'm wrong, I'm hoping someone will say something......

 

Having a bit of a prob with my liluns atm too, but I think it's from a lack of food. :D

Here it is today, haven't nuted for a while, won't nute till prob Tuesday now since I'll be away for the next 4 days. I think she's looking a lot better and seems to be producing leaves.

I agree with Rose, looks like over watering and over nuteing. Plant that size can live off the nutes in the soil for at least three weeks. Flush it out with plain water, let it dry out for a bit then very mild nutes. Been there done that. Only way to learn is through trial and error. Good luck.

Yeah if ya gonna feed it at all at that size give it probably bout a cap full of fish emulsion too 9 litres and feed it about once a week but for now just flush it or it will all build up and wont be happy sorry if i dont make any sense hehe

Been having probs of late with the coco.... Seems to be coming good with low EC Miracle Grow feeds tho.
