Adjusting 240v fan speed

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I've build a grow cabinet in my bedroom with an old wardrobe i got for free. I'm exceedingly pleased with what i've constructed so far, but damn is the fan noisy!

I've got a 240v fan from a local hydro shop, and it's no drama when people are moving around and the TV is on in the house, but when i go to sleep it's pretty loud.

I was wondering if there is anything you can get off the shelf to reduce the current to the fan to slow it down a bit. Heat isn't an issue at the moment but i'd like to keep the fresh air circulating.

Thoughts?

Have a search for a post by " The Gecko " he did a nice controller install guide that we re yet to copy to cannaversity but it's still on the forums

Just remember to do this right and not try the dodgy options that I have seen out there , like basic fan controllers being wired up for use
