Question about Lumatek Ballast Need Advice

I just got delivery of my Lumatek 250W ballast.

 

It came from the USA. It's dual voltage so that's not a problem

 

It has a power lead with it, which I will have to change to suit Aussie powerpoints.

 

My problem is that it has a short fly lead with a strange looking plug on the end that obviously connects to the globe. Where can I get the lead that connects this short lead to the lampholder? Should my hydro shop that sells other lumatek ballasts stock this lead with the right connector?

 

Or will I have to cut that off too and change to some other plug to work with Aussie cables and Lampholders?

Warrantee won't be valid here anyhow coz I got it off a US site, they do not sell 250W digital ballasts to Aus at all. I even had my hydro shop enquire with their supplier to get me one and they could not do it.

 

All I want to know is if people are familiar with that particular plug, and can I get a cable that matches it to go to the lampholder.

 

I have a qualified electronic tech who can change the plug for me IF I have to.

Looks like an american fitting

doubt you will get a plug in oz

to suit.

Looks like a rewire job.

 

Why buy from usa ?????

Yeah I might try emailing them

 

overall though it might just be easier to swap out the cord and connector to whatever the aussie standard one is.

 

We were planning on opening the box anyhow to see how it's built.

 

is there a name for the type of connector we use here in Aus?
