Is 36c-38c too hot?

Recommended Posts

:) If you are just recirculating air and not venting it from the room the cool tube is a waste of time. So is trying to keep the room cool enough or the air fresh enough to grow in no matter how many fans you have. It's hot atm and as soon as you add plants the humidity is going to hit 90-100%. Simple answer...if you can't vent the air out of the room you can't grow in it. Better to wait till you move somewhere you can do it right imo. Especially as it's your first grow.

a few 26W 6500K, cool white or 'daylight' CFLs from the $2 shop. Careful, some are bayonette fitting others are a small Edison Screw, you can get adapters but it's better to decide which type you want and stick to it.

4 globes, holders, wiring... $50?

As a starter kit.

exhausting rather than recirculating the air would most likely help but I'll agree to earlier comment that 1000W may be a bit much anyway.

Hi weed stops growing at 29 -

somewhat true... weed slows as temps increase past 25 degrees and stops growing somewhere around that temp (more like 31/32 IMO), although that is dependent on other factors as well (strain, root conditions, growth stage ect...).

inner cell structure breakes down at 35 and kills the plant.

Bullshit, if that were the case all my plants, indoors and out, would be dead, and so would a lot of other peoples at this time of year I would imagine. :)

optimal - 26-28 - lights on, 22-24 - lights out,

humidity 80-90 - clones and 2 weeks of seed growth

60-70 - veg

30-40 - flowering

Peace homes

:) With all due respect. I'd advise a little more growing experience and alot less book quoting (especially when it's a load of bollocks) before making comments if you don't want to look like a total noob.

Ps BaronS, you could run water cooled led's with ice-coolers :( and the room is still useless to grow in if you don't vent the air.

I currently have a 600W in the same sized tent. Ventilation is a 150mm in-line exhaust vented through cieling to roof space, passive intake. There is also an evaporative cooler in the room.

Temps have been around 35 @ the canopy for a couple of weeks now without any problems at all.

That however i think is my environments limit, as the temperatures continue to rise... for the first few hours of lights on canopy temperatures are sometimes hitting around 40.

Anyhoo, still growin dank noogs. :) :(

Hey man i 2 have had problems with tents n heat, I found keeping the door open to the actuall room the tents were in helped alot, if u just exhaust into a closed room it wont take long for it 2 get very hot. GL :)

Correct. The room pressurizes and then you get absolutely no air movement or air exchange. You gotta vent it out of the room, and you have to have fresh air coming in, it wont just be the heat but the combination of heat and no fresh air.

Ok back, sorry for the late reply. Il probably be moving around late jan by which time i should be able to properly exhaust and also as buy a portable air con unit for the tent. In the mean time though to get some skills aswell as well as hopefully grow a fem (veg no flower) that i can take clones from to have my tent running at full capacity when i move (10+ girls) I started growing a seed under 2 28w cfls which seems to be going alright so far. Il get into greater detail in a journal but heres some pics.
