revegging for seed production

Recommended Posts

Well i am looking at revegging my LUI, and pollenating it for a seed run. A few questions...does revegging effect the strength of the smoko ?? furthermore would it adversly alter the strength of the seeds produced? because it was a beautiful plant grew perfectly and i would like to keep it going yet i didnt clone :) i am working on getting some pollen to pollenate with and just wondered if anyone had experimented with revegging for a seed run. I have chopped the plant halfway to the base and left all the lower buds/leaves they under 24hr fluoro lights...

I am not looking to get more flowering got my bagseed and SSH on their final stretch now just wanted to stock up on seeds and the LUI is my fave strain of all so far. i have a few more LUI seeds but want to know if this would work as a temporary option until i can get into a new place and setup a room to get some new mixes going... whatever i pollenate with this time will be backcrossed with some LUI i sprout in the future for a while... I want to try and learn about mixing, but more importantly stabilising, strains in the near future. anyways enough rambling from me

morale to all this. will revegging a plant affect the quality of the seeds it produces ?

thanks for the input mongy. hoping this will be a sweet run then... another question... how far is it necessary to reveg it... i mean i have fair few bud sites already i dont need millions of seeds and THC production isnt a worry for me thats what the SSH is for :)

i would like to take some clones and veg them too, keep some clones small as i will be moving soon... look at doing a run of my other LUI seeds once we move and could pick out a good dad to pollenate with :) would the same principles apply in this circumstance ??? cloning after revegging for a bit and then just trimming it back until i am ready for another seed run at the new place ??

Hey mongy to clarify i have two options...

option 1 - try and get a quick seed run done with the current plant i have

option 2 - reveg for longer and then clone it soas i can then clone it to move house with (smaller plants are easier) and distribute all my larger plants around the bush before i go...

we are getting a place where i will have the area to consider getting a breeding area going. i would like to get some LUI x LUI seeds from this mix as well as some actual crosses with the SSH, but keeping the more indica dom varieties from the mix. taking clones to continue the strain would suit me better so i can then sprout a few others looking for a couple of good dads.

First time on forum first time grower..in a town in far northern WA so forgive me if I'm in wrong place asking dumb ass questions but here goes...grew my own for first time with seed I picked out of shitty stash..worked OK and got about 6 buds..picked them and plant died!

2 questions:

Why did my plant die?I cut buds with scissors carefully???

Also, where do I get hold of seed (is it legal to do so) in this land..OK 3 questions

hi there "Naughty Boy" there is a cannabis seed bank review site which is apart of Oz Stoners see the below link

as for your other plant. I am not too sure, you need to leave a bit of growth there for the new shoots to come from... Taking the buds off could have stressed it i don't really know... or did you stop looking after it once you harvested ??

no it isn't legal to get seeds.... but never the less as with most things you CAN get them :)
