Drug grower avoids prison Rockhampton

Recommended Posts

10 plants is the personal limit for hydroponicly grown in NSW I do believe, does this mean you should go to jail?

:please: In nsw its over 4 outdoor is classed as commercial and any indoor. Guess your stuffed then BaronS and just going to plead guilty to commercial if you get done? Just cop it on the chin, you made the bed and so on blah blah blah..........

ummm, yes, If I get busted I'll cop it (and hopefully not get hairy balls on m' chin). I'll not plead that 'I'm addicted', and I don't have kids, may do time for it.

When did kids and addiction come into it? This is simply a case of a court finding someone a personal grower when under "YOUR definition" of what is commercial and whats not that's just ludicrous and he should have been locked up.

I'll ask again, at what point do YOU make the judgment someone is a personal or commercial grower BaronS? Even if he was a commercial grower why should he be jailed?

When the guy who got busted used them as part of his plea.

FFS, read the story.

A gun loving commercial grower

They found 169 plants AND 72Kg of already harvested shit. The guy is a commercial grower, and being stupid enough to get caught should cop it on the chin.

by whatever measure 73kg of existing harvest and 169 bushies on the boil IS NOT PERSONAL USE.

It's all 'pissin in the wind' however, the guy is a commercial grower.

You seem very reluctant to state where YOU draw the line that decides someone is a commercial grower or a personal grower. Why is that BaronS?

I don't see a single person in this thread disagreeing with you that using "addiction" as a defense is a load of crap, What I do see is, even though a court has found this grower to be a personal grower you don't agree and think he should have been locked up. Which coming from another grower many find disturbing and have said so.

Where has it crossed from a personal to a commercial amount by your standards BS? and Even if he was a commercial grower why should he be jailed?

I just _love_ people who pull apart posts and quote out of context.

Current law regarding Marijuana in AU is wrong. No dispute. However, should someone wish to break that law and gets caught doing so, it is their choice.

Claiming 'I'm addicted' negates the efforts of those wishing to have the law changed.

If you have children _you_ should consider the consequences of your actions before commiting a crime, any crime.

as for the 'commercial grower' aspect: (and how I define such, which is mainly irrelevent)

a couple of kilo, personal use (for quite a while for most people).

I consider the question to have been answered in the post where I refer to a '5 yr plan'.
