Eco-neem

Recommended Posts

eco-neem is a broad spectrum botanically based insecticide made from a neem tree extract .. eco-neem is very different to other crude neem oil based sprays because it is a pure extract stabilised in a vegetable oil based carrier making it very effective at low rates

:smoke:

also, eco-neem is safe to beneficial insects replacing the toxic residual sprays that are harmful to bees, ladybeetles and other good bugs in your garden

BFA registered for organic gardens ( no, thats not Bicycle Federation of Australia, but its Biological Farmers of Australia :D )

I used a light solution of 'pest oil' a couple of days ago so think I leave it a few more days and sounds like a light dose.

There is one concern that I have noticed, and if I'd noticed in the shop would have stopped me. 'DO NOT use on plants that produce food for human or animal consumption'. (bloody fine print, I have lousy eyes)

or try a grow shop called (Aqua ponics and hydroponic express 1800 number for late night help) they are the bunnings wholesaler (west) in my state for the hydro section. Aqua ponics sell both neem for human consumption and in a larger bottle but much thicker a safe to use Neem for human and animal consumption..

Pls dont mention green just the bugs you have a problem with, these guys are more of a nursery and training ground for Tafe and Uni courses so dont need mouths fee flowing. + there one of the biggest shops ive ever seen will throw in small fresh rooted strawberry, capsicum or whatever is in season ontop of purchases.. Best berries of the lot last year

Good peeps but barta prices somethings are cheep like (anything from wa canna, hygen, growth tech, nulife and im sure theres more) imported gear is just above avg i get from my local.

The main problem people have with NEEM is applying it when the plant has started flowering, no one wants to smoke that shit >:(

Non systemic pesticides are just as useful imo. Something water based, not oil based like the NEEM.

And if you keep your plants healthy pests hardly ever show up. White fly, mites, scarid fly, these can all be wiped out easily if you don't let them take hold.

just thought I'd come back to say, yep, eco-neem gets my vote.

I still don't know whether my particular critters were red spotted or spider mites or some other thing, don't particularly care either, _most_ are gone. A few hours after 2nd application I was able to find 1 of the little blighters moving around, but it took a while to find him, after looking at several leaves, whereas previously I could pick any leaf and be guaranteed a few.

Though the original hint was to use neem oil I'll throw out a general thanks for discussion of neem.
