Are these N P K ratios weird?

Recommended Posts

Are these N P K ratios weird? as in i thourt the NPK should have a big first numbver in the veg nutes for the N.

the NPK seems real small numbers to me and WTF why in veg nutes would it be 3-3-14

vegetative nutes

Part A 2 : 0 : 4

Analysis [%W/V] what ever that means in the brackets

Nitrogen as No4 = 0.12

nitrogen as No3 = 2.40

calcium = 2.20

potassium = 1.65

sulphur = 0.00

phosphorus = 0.00

iron = 0.045

magnesium = 0.00

zinc = 0.00

manganese = 0.00

boron = 0.00

copper = 0.00

molybdenum = 0.00

krebs metabolites = 0.003

Part B 1 : 3 : 11

Analysis [%W/V]

Nitrogen as No4 = 0.00

nitrogen as No3 = 0.65

calcium = 0.00

potassium = 4.55

sulphur = 0.00

phosphorus = 0.65

iron = 0.00

magnesium = 0.70

zinc = 0.005

manganese = 0.015

boron = 0.005

copper = 0.004

molybdenum = 0.004

krebs metabolites = 0.002

combined vegetative nutes 3 : 3 : 15

flower nutes

Part A 2 : 0 : 4

Analysis [%W/V]

Nitrogen as No4 = 0.10

nitrogen as No3 = 2.30

calcium = 2.00

potassium = 2.00

sulphur = 0.00

phosphorus = 0.00

iron = 0.05

magnesium = 0.00

zinc = 0.00

manganese = 0.00

boron = 0.00

copper = 0.00

molybdenum = 0.00

krebs metabolites = 0.005

Carbon = 0.006

Part B 1 : 8 : 10

Analysis [%W/V]

Nitrogen as No4 = 0.00

nitrogen as No3 = 0.60

calcium = 0.00

potassium = 4.00

sulphur = 1.00

phosphorus = 2.00

iron = 0.00

magnesium = 0.75

zinc = 0.005

manganese = 0.015

boron = 0.006

copper = 0.002

NPK is normaly a ratio eg Grow Part A 2/0/4 = same as 1/0/2 dont be confused by big numbers.

N P K

Grow A- 2. 0. 4

Grow B- 1. 3. 11

Bloom A-2. 0. 4

Bloom A-1. 8. 10

^^ main numbers to look at.

this is simular to cyco nutrients break down multi sources of each element wonder if ther taken up at equal rates.

The grow seems well balanced and so does the Bloom although maby alittle rich on the P+K for early flowering plants, id normaly use a PK additive late in flower but this already seem quite High.

Looks Like a decent fert what brand is it?

There both dutch master advanced hydroponic nutrition system one 2part for veg and 1 2 part for flower. im using it on outdoor plant but ive found out that halve strength with it is = to full strength for outdoor plants.

I also have dutch master potash+ 1 : 6 : 10 flowering supplement what would ii use this for ? late in flowrr?

hi reddevil,

Ok dutch master ive never used this nute but like the folia feed range.

yep id use the potash 1:6:10 just like canna and other PK 0/13/14 , im sure there would be directions on the bottle when to use and at what dose ontop of you bloom food or sometimes PK by itself without the nute check that on bottle..

It helps if you know how long the strain flowers for then work backwards from her finnish time. say a 9 to 10 wk strain you might want to flush for between 7 to 14days, I get good results with extra PK added from week 5 to week 8.

Outside plants are not as fast to go into full flower mode compared to hydro most strain finnish between march/ april may. for outside growing id go by bud size as to judge when to add your PK/ potash, buds need to have formed and be around thumb size with all white pistles basicly looking like the calaxs are about to explode in size then use the PK for 2 to 3 weeks or until you see the plant maturing then flush, longer dose and flower period if its a haze like strain with long flowering period.

Hydro nutes outside. i grow indoors and out in coco or coco mix just about relying on hydro nutes to feed my girls. the more sun, pot size and amount of water the plants get will alter feed frequency and or strength. If plants are in full to near full sun, get all the water they want, have avaliable food and root space its quite hard to go wrong.

growing in potting mix? im guessing you are here. Potmix probally has enough ferts added for you to grow for about 1 month around christmas is when they really get going and need more food look for the signs of overfert dark foliage with burnt leaf tips or under fed lower leaves yellowing and dying.

I mix coco with alittle ground blood bone and NPK blue a med release pellet fert for large outside plants with a weekly feed from my hydro res which become twice weekly once flowering. When the sun really comes out keep the water upto tyour plants and when you start seeing first signs of pale leaves down low increase the strength of the nutrient from 50% recomended to abot 70% recomended dose only go to 100% dose rate if your in an extreemly sunny climate have alot of water going through pots and see signs of needing more food. stay under 2.6ec as your peak strength in flower and everything will work out well.
