After washing and doing a pre soak of 40lts of perlite i ended up with all this perlite dust in the bottom of the bucket.

 

All that stuff will settle to the bottom of what you are growing and can block drainage lines and cause probs.

 

And that dust isent good for your lungs so make sure u cover your mouth and nose before you open up the bag and start playing with it if you have to do inside...

Years ago urbanhog came up with this kiss technique..

cut a hole in top bag perlite add a hose .. stand bag upright n fill it... (usually in shower or bathtub) once its about 3/4 full of water use a fork to poke a heap small holes in base of bag and the thing then drains.... No dust no mess Also works for clay fytocell etc
