2 plants per pot. can this cause problems ?

in my next grow, im going to do SOG. try can achieve around 1/2oz to 1oz per plant.

 

is it possible to grow more then 1 pot per plant ?

 

what will happen when the roots intertwine ?

 

can they kill each other ? what problems may it cause ?

It can be done, but if is they small pots it will stunt there growth as they will become root bound (no more room for root growth).

 

So use the biggest pots u can to try and avoid then to become root bound...

well the plants i was thinking of putting in 8" pots,

 

the pots will be in a 2100 x 1100mm plastic table, 28 pots in each table.

 

the pots i will have to put HEEPS of holes in the bottom for roots to grow out of.. the tables will be half full of clayballs for the roots to grow into also.

Save yourself some heartache, clone into 1-4" rockwool cubes then just whack them straight in the hydroton.

I'm with smokinjoe, lose the pots and just grow the whole SOG in clay balls direct in the table.

Ill probably have to re-pot the clones around the sativa though.

Best grow Ive seen like that is 100 or so purple kush in laundry buckets - 2 in each. It looked really nice, was fully organic and the story was 'kush mountain' in hightimes iirc.

Sometimes plants that are grow too close together can have identity issues. These can range from personality disorders to more delicate and private matters. Similar challenges arise with identical human twins, or so I've been told. If cannabis plants get their roots intertwined they can start playing up. Every plant deserves and needs its own space where it can grow and develop at its own rate, free of in-your-face competition. Why go looking for trouble?

Do you intend to repeat the horror of factory farming with your plants? Are you going to confine your plants regardless of any welfare issues; blindly unconcerned for their needs? Remember that the plants you grow had ancestors which lived by strength, drank pure rain and basked in the golden sunlight! Don't give other growers a bad name. Treat your plants as God's promise of happiness.

As long as each plant has about 30-40 square cm wide (depends on the strand) to grow they will do fine.

our door plants usually get planted in rows next to each other and they do fine as long as they have room to grow
