1oz per plant. how big must the plant be ?

Recommended Posts

Knowing the strain would really help, full sativas may not be suited i grow a sat dom strain without veg flowered as a 15cm clone they end up between 3 and 4 foot easily yielding 2oz.

Indica to an Indica dom hybrid would be best suited for sog but as clones, the closest ive done your style of growing is a couple of 90cm x 90cm x 15cm deep trays with 9 seedling not clones. If i used clones i wouldnt veg much at all but find these trays just dont offer enough root space.. Back to pots or 99c buckets

Now into flower fast ive already over vegged at this point

I used seed from a recent cross without pre growing (knowing stretch) the strains stretch was a suprise to the point i couldnt raise light any higher and finnishing closer to 6 foot. Yield was good not great but i finally tested my seed under HPS.

nouse, ill get a couple pics up soon. nothing detailed. Im pretty sketchy with putting stuff up on the net no matter how secure you say this website is.. Even saying that my ip and host will be logged somewhere so im screwed in my theory anyway..

Ive allways wanted to do a grow diary, but i would not do it as the grow happens. I would compile it all then post it online later.

But a MOD mentioned somewhere on here not long ago that this site is dedicated to small personal grow op's.

Even thou my grow is entirely personal, i just like to test my limits and see how green my thumb really is..

Im currently growing the mothers big enough to take the first round of clones.

This would be my first run to waste setup. so there is still alot to be learnt.

bufo - thoes plants are tiny, how long did you veg them for ? if you achieved near 1/2 a bag off thoes, then to achieve 1oz wouldnt be very much longer in veg time.

if i tipped each plant early so i got 2 main collas off each plant, or even 3 main collas. Then maybe the 1oz be possible

the tablels are crammed into the area dam tite, with only 30cm between the tabels and the walls, and only a 30cm gap between the tabels.

i havnt worked out exhaust fans yet, that will be happening in the next couple days, along with a hell of alot of gear to cover/remove smell.

the plants are in 8" pots in the tabels, 28 clones in each table.

The pots i have are designed for roots to come out the bottom, so i can fill the tables half full of clayballs and the roots can grow into that.

I havnt worked out wether ill use clayballs or rockwool yet..

Paul, not a bad assumption though, as it turns out.

allhail, You can see that there are various factors and opinions that can be expressed about your yield.

I was once shown (a friend's purchase) a cola that had to be trimmed in order to give a lb. (an outside grow) (and as an aside, fuck, was I impressed. Ray, you have internet, dunno whether you've discovered this site and can back up my claim though)

Paul points out that I aim for smaller plants. I'd be happy pulling an oz off a single pot which maybe has 3 plants in it, however I have pulled several oz per plant in a past grow that I didn't know at the time would have been described as SOG.

This is day 1 of 12/12 I am pretty sure. That previous flowered tray is the middle one, vegged for around 7-10 days under flouros, after 10-14 days cloning.

Takes 10-14 days to have roots bursting out of the cubes before burying slightly into the perlite.

Vegged under flouros then 7-14 days. The main requirement is to establish roots into the perlite and show signs of growth. Under a HPS or MH it can be as quick as 4-7 days. This can be slowed by vegging under flouros, tipping, tieing, as well as less nutrient even to soak up a full 14 days veg to get into a perpetual type system so that approx every 2 weeks new clones are taken, every 2 weeks clones are vegged, every 2 weeks a tray of clones is put into flower, every 2 weeks a tray of finished buds is removed from the flower cab :yahoo:

It can run like clockwork especially when you find the right mother and get to know it's clone and veg traits as well as flower time(7-8 weeks is ideal), growth rate and general growth pattern. Trimming the clones to the same shape and even placing the cubes for better spacing between colas are all the finer points that you take care of as you see them arise. They are little but very easy to manicure and 3oz out of that tray isn't bad seeing as 4 can easily fit under a 400, but I'm sure you will be able to adapt the numbers to your own design lol

The hardest thing your going to find doing 28 per table is getting 28 the same size and root mass. 1-2 days difference in veg in a SOG that size is the difference between a plant standing with the rest or being overgrown and never catching up, your going to need at least 34 clones imo, just to get 28 with consistant, even growth lol

Add to this your style of grow, your available lighting, flower area, separate veg area, clone area, mother area, keeping an eye on plant numbers so you don't end up with a fricken plantation charge if the wheels fall off :) and yeah, cover all that and you should be laughin :peace:

Logistics are everything :)
