electricity bill will over double!.

hey.

 

my new setup will be using 9 x 600w setup, and 1 x 400w

 

i have run 10 x 600w lights before in my last grow, but im just wondering a few things.

 

do cops generally need to be onto you before they even start looking into your electric bill ?

 

my last couple electric bills were more then double the ones before, but i just paid them on the day they come..

 

has anyone got any theorys on the cops busting your via electricity bill ?

Don't worry. Your electricity bill is entirely your business as long as you keep paying it (landlords and electricity companies will love you and not give you any trouble as long as you pay your bills on time) and keep your mouth shut.

Once cops have a reason to suspect you (either by someone selling you out or just being a dumb grower) then they can look into your bills to see if they corroborate with the accusations. If so, then they have grounds for a search warrant.

 

So, in answer to your question: don't worry about your electricity bills, there are tons of legit reasons to suddenly have much higher use. The only three rules that you need to keep to so you're not caught are:

 

1. If no-one sees it, then no-one can talk about it.

2. Do not tell anyone you are growing.

3. Do NOT tell ANYONE you are growing.

 

Even wives and girlfriends can get a bit peeved off over a tiff and think they'll teach you a lesson by getting you a couple hundred dollar fine, which is sometimes grossly underestimated on their part and you can end up with a couple of grand as well as a good behaviour bond so you can't grow any more for years. Believe me, it does happen.

 

So, yeah. Electricity bills can only be used as corroborating evidence and justification for a search following suspicion. If you don't allow any suspicion, then you'll be fine. DON'T FUCKING TELL ANYONE.

yep, i was once young and dumb and told a few people a few things i shouldnt of. Ended up having to move houses due to the ammount of people i heard were planning to run through my house

 

Once bitten, twice shy i now say. None of my close mates even know where im living now.

 

I too thought the same about the electricity bill. Ill just pay it the day it comes. No fuss. No hassels.

Most reverse cycle air cons are now 4kw plus... id be a little weary of going for gold with the new digital power meters but long as ur payin the bill it should be no worries...

But I just wanna say one more thing. You say that even you're close mates don't know where you live. That's cool, but that doesn't matter at all. The cops can find your address pretty quickly. The most important thing is that they don't know that you're growing. It doesn't matter if they don't know where you live. They can still say to the cops, "Oh, hey. Joey Joe Joe Junior Shabadoo is growing, but I don't know where he lives." After that, it's no trouble for the cops to find your address.

 

So, again, and I hope I'm not annoying you by repeating myself but you have to believe that I cannot understate the importance of this:

 

Do.

Not.

Tell.

Anyone.

 

If you keep to that and make sure that it can't be accidentally stumbled upon and don't do anything else stupid that would give reasons for police to search your property, then you'll be able to grow safely for years.

yer glad we are all agreed on the 'DON'T FUCKING TELL ANYONE' rule .. its so simple yet heaps break it sooner rather than later

 

electricity yea so long as your paying .. like i pay mine ahead , like ive always got a 800+ paid up credit so i figure the power company really loves me!

electric company just loves profits for their shareholders dont matter what you using power for .. growing Cannabis or torturing pple with electric shocks, as long you pay the bill thats ok with them
