Can someone explain how to top a plant into a bush

The pot in 50cm wide and 45cm deep its round gow big a plant do tou think i could get in this pot?

You've already topped it & have 4 main branches, & you said you can only go 5 foot high...

In that pot I reckon you could get it to a decent size.

Myself I'd let it get to around 4 foot high then tie those main branches down... & do it how I posted earlier, it shouldn't get too much over that 5 foot mark after that... but that's just me

I have been very aggressively fimming my plants.

 

At times of rapid growth i was cutting new growth (at canopy level) every 24 hours. My main aim originally was for more nodes but became a height maintenance thing. Girls are currently about 2.5 feet high and ready to flip, i am unsure of the amount of stretch in this strain yet but i'm hoping it won't get much over 5 feet.

 

It is my understanding that each plant (depending on strain etc.) has a sort of tipping threshold, ie. once tipped a certain number of times no further benefits (branching) are gained and tipping will retard growth.

 

This has resulted in lots of dense internodes and growth from the point where i began fimming.

 

I havnt fimmed in a while, such aggressive fimming has retarded growth and the canopy has stayed level for a week or two... which is what i was aiming for

 

I'll try to get a decent pic of the dense branching this has caused

Well i just smoked some nice lunch so i'm sweet

 

So... this is the internode spacing before fimming was started.

 

 

And next... internode spacing after fimming... let me just move this branch out of the way here... SNAP

Nope, sorry... i can't get a picture of the main stem internodes... the growth is far too dense

 

This however is about as close as i could get to the main stem. This branch is demonstrating a similar dense internode structure.

Looks like you could have a nuggetty little hedge there. I've had 1 of them once, back when I was growing in my parents yard. It didn't have big heads, but they were nice solid chunky things & a good little smoke.

Fimming is deff the way to go

 

i have been playing around with it and it the best thing since sliced bread

 

keeps em short and shoots branches everywhere i love it
