Legal question "mother plants"

Im growing for personal use under a 250w hps and only flower 2 plants at a time, but plan to keep about 5 bonsai mother plants.

If I got busted would the police count the mother plants as the total number of plants?

Yes, they will also count any clones you may have, rooted or not.

clones need to have roots to be classed as a plant...

Even if the clones weren't classed as plants for arguments sakes there would still be cultivation of a prohibited plant or possibly possession.

the best you can do is :

make sure there are no aromas escaping your grow, especially if people live nearby

be good to your neighbours and don't cause trouble, keep your lawn mowed if you have one

use a light proof room or tent

don't overload your circuits

don't tell anyone

don't drink VB cans and smoke bongs within public view

keep your music at lower volume

 

obviously don't commit any other crimes or steal power etc

 

If you do all that then you won't have to worry about the law, just pretend they don't exist. They won't care about you.

Awesome advice from futureeater, just keep it on the down low and be a law abiding citizen and you wont be on anyone's radar. If you do everything right then the police have about as much luck as finding you and your grow as they do finding water with a dowsing rod.

i did a grow with no odour control and you could smell it out the front of my house. I didn't ever run into any trouble (except for a backyard rip). It wasn't a very smart idea in hindsight - get a carbon filter it's worth its weight in peace of mind

someone up the street from me (i dont know em) but for the 5 years ive been living here they have bee ngrowing with no oder control i belive cos u can always smell when u walk past the house its a very strong smell they must have seprate rooms for veg and flower cos its like it every day all year round and there is a cop shop less than a km away and it still smells so i doubt they have been courght yet.

 

EDIT: with 5 plants u may even get charged with intent as well as cultivation.
