curing methods

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the suggestion Weekprik and Tom. I have just heard that CFs are not really cost-effective as proper HIDs etc. Are they more expensive or as efficient as far as quality and yeild are concerned?

Any feedback appreciated guys n gals.

BTW: I got ripped off! I had my babies out my back door and I get up one morning to find 4 stumps and the rest gone. I am not sure if I'll keep my other 5 bubba babies yet as I am sure they would have been spotted by the theives and will be back for them in time. They know their here now.

Maybe its time to move. The risks we take hh? Could have been worse, could have been the suits that nabbed me for em. Shit..... It could have been the suits too who took them. Doubt if there was any kick in them though, had another 2-3 weeks to go, still pisses me though.

Time to seriously consider growing indoors I think.

Cfs are not as efficient or good as HID but it depends on what you have to spare, a CF light setup would cost you bugger all , whereas a 400watt HPS would be roughly $200-00,

The CFs are more expensive to run, and dont flower very well, a yeild under a CF will give you heaps less than under a HID,

If you can save the $$ then go for a 400watt HPS,

as far as someone pinching ya plants, Well my first thought is cunts, i would kick their asses, but then the thought WTF were they doing their in the first place, are you not worried about visitors busting you??

Grow inside mate, produce more and faster, and safer too.

Seeing as this thread started out as curing, I thought I'd add a pic.

The 2 plants were chopped because of a rental inspection lol But as it turned out I think it was about the right time anyway. The plants were hung for about a week - 10 days (I can't remember) until the buds were slightly crispy on the outside. Chopped buds off (sticky) and put on newspaper for a few days in the dark, after that I put one of the plants into coffee jars as thats all I had and the other plant in to paper bags.

Today I ditched the paper bags in favour of the spaghetti jar. The Plant that's in the coffee jars smells like coffee  , smokes nice but still damp.

The plant in the spaghetti jar was the better of the two , its not as damp but quite harsh so I'm going to try and leave them in there for as long as I can hold out .

I've only got shitty kitchen scales so I'm not sure of the weight yet.

Nice haul Buster.... did the gf go off about her spaghetti jar? I love a coffee and a bong in the morning, so you might have found a way to combine the two with those maccona jars. Did I mention to make sure you kep those in the dark? The cooler the better too. It's ahrd to wait...I've got one strain that get's smokeable but still ruff after about 3 weeks, but you seriously really notice the difference after about 2 moths. The trick is to get one grow ahead soyou can cure properly.

If only...
