drip system with dwc?

Recommended Posts

imo no need to ever run drip system with dwc unless your gunna be away from clones/seedlings for an extended period of time but that's a rare situation.

does depend a little on the medium but assuming your using rockwool then hand top water it every day or so an your fine, it dont take long for roots to reach water or even to get long enough to be hit by the bubbles from ya airstones.

roots are naturally lazy an always take path of least resistance, by letting the cube dry out a little you force them to grow out and "look" for more water an they root out faster than if you constantly pump em with water. once the roots have hit the water there is absolutely no logical reason to continue to drip/top feeding at all. the roots are fully suspended in water they dont possibly need anymore from the top what they actually need is a nice gap between the water level an the bottom of the netpot to develop "air roots", which are just as vital as the water roots.
