Hey Guys,

Iv just gone to turn my light on but when i did do, it didn't come on???????

 

i pulled the globe out and it has this black stuff and the inside glass bit.

 

Please help guys, im not sure if it's this or somthing else???

slight burn at each end is nothing they come like this new or once tested although i can see yours is well used. Now you could either have a globe or ballast issue.

 

Id take the globe and ballast to a grow shop, ive found when globes pop the flicker but just cant ignite, when a ballast goes there is no flicker or click click on startup and globe makes no attemp to fire..

 

 

sounds like what i just went through, tripped the power using a drop saw and somehow ruined my ballast. took it to a mates shop date was checked well over four years old so went in the bin. Got another jb 600WT for around $140 that uses 70 odd watts less power on start up.

 

Btw check for melted plugs mogal to ballast if there not connected well or half pulled out you can burn these out in no time.
