hello all, im seeking a diagnosis and a solution if possible .

my plants are looking kinda shitty after 4 weeks of veg with yellow drooping leaves(pics below), after reading through WantDaChronic's post on Nutrient problems i though i may have been over watering my babies, but after a few weeks of less water there is no improvement.

before i slowed right off the watering i was watering my plants by cup, feeding each plant 1 litre every 2/3 days, ph 6.4 with 1000ppm of nutes using xtreme root protector, vega A and vega B. dont know if there is anything im missing so any help would be great thanx ppls!

man youre in a whole world of hurt...

straight perlite... needs to be watered every 3-4 hours when the lights are on.. (ofc its determined by the light source.. as HIDs will cuase plants to transpire more than flouros)..it holds moisture.. but no where near as much as soil or coco.. or rockwool... also.. 1000ppm.. is probably a little too low.. but should be ok at that level and shouldnt cause this sort of necroses.. and at around 6.4 on the PH.. these plants should be looking very green..

when leaves turn yellow at the base like this its a sure sign of a nitrogen deficiency.. but judging by the info youve given.. PPMs at 1000 and PH at 6.4.. you shouldn't be getting many issues at all..

lets start with a good flush... measure the water for TDS and PH before you pour it through.. then measure it after... you can do this pot by pot.. but looking at the plants.. its pretty common thing with all the bigger plants where as the smaller ones look fine.. but they will soon get the same issue as they get bigger...

once theyve had a good flush... mix up a fresh batch of nutrient solution.. if you make up more than you really need for one watering, which id recommend .. then make sure its being oxygenated .. use a small fish tank air pump..

im think once you start feeding more often you will start to see a change.. the good thing here is the plants are relatively small.. and most of those leaves that have necroses can be trimmed off..

thanx for youre help man, forgot to mention though, my soil is roughly 70/30 coco/perlite the perlite around the top of the top is(dont laugh i was just told) to prevent any bugs crawling up from the soil  light is 600w hid on 18/6 hours per day.

ill give them a flush and see how i go

I dont reckon you fixed anything , they fixed themselves , you had root problems moisture related and after some time they adapted to your watering schedule , the yellowing is showing when they wasnt feeding and when it happened , biggest problem in hydroponics is over watering cuttings , if they dont get root rot they will slow right down and feed little showing all sorts of nutrient symptoms when nothing is wrong with the feed they just aint dining because their roots aint working properly , try and water just enough to keep them up and turgid and to the point of nearly dry but not dry , remember when you first transplant them they are still living in the cube they dont need constant watering make them send roots out to find water , weak mix and moist just moist not saturated , once the cutting gets really going you cant kill it with a stick .
