oil filled heaters

Hi people

Just wondering if anyone has used oil fillad radiators to keep the heat in their grow room as my room temp is dropping down to 68 degrees and would like it back up to about 72 -74 degrees . Bought a fan heater the other day but no good for the plants ,

Any advice would be great , thanks people

You'd have to be careful it didn't do the job too well.

 

If you had one with an accurate temp control on it you would be fine.

personally for the amount of power being used id buy another light thats sure to up the temps be a few c or degree.

 

Have your lights on through the coldest part of the day which is at night even where you located... throw the box heater out @ 2000wt its probally using more than your whole grow those oil heaters aint much better, if you are worried about wet/ damp day air comming into the room while light off maby set exhaust and inlet fans on a timer or off a temp controller that switches on and off at pre selected temps..

I put a little 4 fin one in for the night period and it works a treat, I have an oscillating fan that goes for 15 minutes every hour of dark to even out the temperature rather than it accumulating near the roof of the room.

Uses less power than a lamp too as it is only on the lowest setting and comes on every 20 minutes or so to re-heat.
