Suitable seed variety?

I expect this gets asked from time to time but I havn't found a recent thread for it. I've been reading through the seed bank, there's heaps of good info there but I'm finding it a bit overwhelming so I thought I'd ask it like this:

 

I've already bought one batch of White Skunk from PS, mostly because the seeds were cheap. and didn't seem to have any bad points. But now I'd like to leap out into the unknown and try another strain, so could anyone advise me - I'm looking or a strain, hopefully from PS or another supplier with a reliable reputation that's not too pricey, is easy to germinate and grow (as I'm still new to indoor growing), is ideal for indoor growing (not too big, likes lights and nutes etc.), gives at least a fair quantity of at least fair strength head. Any recommendations? What is your preferred choice?

Most peeps will tell you that this is one of the hardest choices a grower faces , the seemingly unlimited range of strains available and the conflicting reports on strain guides make it very difficult to choose any particular strain...

 

reputable seedbanks are...

 

PS (pricey IMO)

seed boo (gipsies own strains are damn cheap, anyone elses get marked up a fair bit)

ams (not to sure on these guys, prices are good, postage is a killer)

 

sounds like you want a good stable indica dominant strain, try northern lights, skunk#1 or something along those lines.

yea it is a recurring question .. me personally im a chronic tight-arse except when it comes to canna seeds ...

sure i used to trawl around looking for the cheapest seedbank for the moderately priced seeds .. but never again , i seen the light brother, an i have been blessed!!

cause i now spend up to the equivalent cost of an oz for my strain of seeds and i am comforted by the fact that i have a 95% better chance of ending up with some 'knock ya tits off' smoko from real nice plants ,

rather than some mongrel bred cheap-arsed strain comparable to ditch-weed from buying some mixed-up gee whizz hybrid strain bred by some burnt-out hippy ..

 

and it seems all the good strains go for around the same sorta price nowadays .. so yea best of luck with what eva ya get an maybe report back on your chosen strain ..

i grew a few beans out now and for a starter you can't go wrong with the hindu kush .. they simple love to grow and give a very pleasing stone ... no kid you cant kill em ..

Hahaha, Frazz, u're a pissa. It's been a while but I've smoked (not grown) Northern Lights and Blueberry. Loved 'em, and most of the seedbanks I've looked at have them. White Widow seems very popular. I'd love to hear a personal account from anyone who has grown it and can tell me how it smokes up and what yields are like. Same for anyone who has experience with AK-47, White Rhino and Big Bud. Any feedback would be great and might be helpful to you as well Chuffer.

I got white rhino going at the moment, just put them into flower last week. Very tough plant and can feed them heaps they just keep growing, I'm looking at master kush for my next one, any way good luck
