GrowLush Tents?

Please, I'm not looking for opinions on this one. I have read enough of opinion based comments on the web. What I need is someone who KNOWS or has EXPERIENCED on what I'm asking. I have read that white plastic tents set off a gas which is harmful to plants. So I am looking at this supposed NON-TOXIC tent. I actually purchased a tent a few days ago, but was lucky enough to catch them before it was shipped. The company didn't give me a hassle, though theire website claimed the tent was NON-TOXIC, and they completely refunded my money:hello: though they claimed there would be a 20% restocking fee on their website, they DID NOT charge me the restocking fee.) They apologized and said they would be doing a test themselves on the product. Whether they do or not is not my business. But I found another tent for $40. Same dimension, just that the interior is made with 100% reflective material(looks like Mylar) that is suppose to be NON-TOXIC. The tent is made by GrowLush. I will post a link of this tent right here------------------> CLICK ON ME!

Please I need facts, not confusion. Thanks for all those who are willing to help me.

Also here is the product info.

So I e-mailed this company that's selling this tent and they emailed me back. Here is what they said....

Hello XXXXXXXXX,

the tent we sell is a mylar inner canvas outer. there is no PVC in the tent therefore there is no off gassing. our tents do not produce any airborn toxins when the light creates heat.

As you may have heard MYLAR tents are not PVC. they are a safer material with no chemicals that also have 2 x the reflection rate. These tents have been tested and heated and have been approved to sell

Regards!

What do you guys think??????

I recently ditched my tent as it was off gassing.

Don't think its any particular brand, its potentially any tent with the White lined PVC on the inside. The strength/heat of the light seems to be a major contributing factor, 600w and 1000w lights put out a fair bit of heat, lower wattage seems to be ok.

Mylar is fine and doesn't off gas, just a bit more expensive.

I'm not sure what you are actually asking?

Your first sentence is "I'm not looking for opinions here" and your last is "what do you guys think"

I've had a "white inner" Grow Lush tent running for a number of years now with no problems.

Why do all these forums have to be sooooo freakin complicated. :peace:. Dude I started saying "I'm not looking for opinions here" refering to people who like to comment w/o the actual experience. People who say " Dude that tent sucks. Ive never used it but it still sucks" Cause that's based on opinion. So OBVIOUSLY when I ask "what do you guys think", I'm speaking to those who continued to read on cause they weren't basing it on opinion. THEY WERE SPEAKING ON EXPERIENCE LIKE U DID! JEEZ why do these forums always have to go sour?

That's what I thought. I was lucky to catch the retailer who sold me the "Non-Toxic PVC" interior, before he shipped it. He claimed he knew nothing of this poisoning plants and he would look into it. And he refunded my money 100%(though there website claimed to have a 20% restocking fee). so now I'm looking at these mylar tents. Thanks for helping brother.
