neem oil

Ants usually farm aphids. So look for ants and stop them. Seal up your grow and keep it tidy.

Best of luck.

What do i do with the oil ,, do i spray it on the harvested plant ?? or just place in the dry box??

And their are no signs of ants or anything the grow is always kept tidy and sealed ,,i use sterile soil , grow from seeds so nothing introduced into room..is the harvest still smokable ,, as the buds look fine just the little bugs on them ,, will they die off and the harvest be OK????

Hi red-eye,

I havent heard of root aphids before but I been having a problem with gnats.

They little flys which lay there eggs in soil/coco coir and when the eggs hatch the larve eat the roots.

I been using "gnat off" from local hydro shop. Mix in 1ml per litre into your nutes tank or just water and water in thougharly once per week for 4 weeks. I also used surface spray around bottom of pots. I know it sounds harsh but it was the only way to get ris of em. I also used 1 yellow sticky fly trap which cuaght a few.

hope this helps...

yea i dont know of 'root-aphids' either ... sure, maybe rooting aphids .. but ... :peace: ...

i do know the cursed fungal gnats though , little black flying bugs who lay their larvae in the root zone and sap the vigor of the plant ... nevertheless i think ya buds will be fine to smoke as not much in nature can contaminate the buds ...

Hey Red-Eye:

Root aphids suck....literally, they suck the life out of your plants thru the root system. Are you sure they are root aphids though? Sounds more like spider mites. Root aphids, as the name implies, only reside in the soil/grow medium, not on the plant itself. If you look at one under a scope, they look just like regular aphids, except they are super tiny and a sort of tanish clear color. I'm no expert on them, it's just that I recently discovered a root aphid infestation myself and have been doing research. I can tell you this much, Neem oil has no affect on root aphids although it will help with spider mites. If they are spider mites, the will eventually leave (or die) as the bud dries. Problem is they will head for the next available food source they can find (your girls in flower). Doktor Doom Spider Mite Knockout is good up until one day before harvest, if spider mites are your problem.

Hope this helps, I'm off to look for root aphid info myself!
