I went to the hydro shop today and they had a experiment for growing tomatoes.

The guy said they had set it up for a led lighting company that gave him the lights.

On one side was led about 35 to 40 lights don't know what watt they are but 80% were red and the others blue.

The the otherside had a cfl600watt. There were 2plants under the led in basic flood hydro system with clay pebbles they got to about 1and a half ft then slowed down on growing then witherd and soon died.

The other 2 plants same clay pebbles with the flood system are now 5ft and have heaps of tomatoes.

Anyone got anything to say about this perhaps some info on what is going on with these plants...
