Why don't we create a nationalized cannabis law reform day?

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I know its not a new idea but hey why dont we all agree on a day in which we can all form together all over Australia when we voice our ideas as one combined, powerful force? I think our activism will result in more power if we all work together on a single day to prove that advocates of cannabis are a very large, powerful community. As far as i know we don't have such a well recognised day in Australia but imagaine if word was to spread about a day where every one who wanted these laws changed all over the nation stood up as a single recognisable power.

Just a thought dudes.

Chris

The 420 date would be good since there doing the same thing all over the world on that day.

But what about the first weekend in may, I mean even my grandparents know about the mardi grass. So if people heard that it was happening in there own city I personally think it could get fairly popular

I could go with planning something national to co-incide with MardiGrass next year for those of us who can't make it to Nimbin, but only if we have the OK from the HEMP Embassy as I don't think we should tread on the toes of other activists ....

We could surely manage to have an organisation up and running by then if we all worked together.

normally I wouldn't be the one to say something like this, but, if we all have it on the same day as nimbin we could take away their tourists - mardi grass brings alot of them to the area if only for a week.. would the Hemp embassy object to touring? one weekend nimbin, the next brisbane etc

that way we get the giant joint! :D the whole month of may could be devoted to weed!

yeah, that is spot on.

we need to make as many people as possible aware.

but I'm sure the region may benefit from all the activity as well. i am not going to deny that.

..I wonder if it will actually happen.. I kind of get the impression that the authorities are only just tolerating mardi grass in nimbin as it is.. and i've seen a clip on youtube of the AFP trying to stir up the locals..wouldn't want that to happen in the cities.. city folk may be more defensive :D
