flowering period

I've heard variations of that but never done comparisons. I tend to let things happen at their own speed though. Doing a straight 18/6 and 12/12 speeds up results compared to outside anyway. My current 20/4 has been implemented on a whim and I'm not sure I simply ain't wastin' bucks.

 

Also, would have been easier for me to look at such many years ago, when I would run a single crop (~100 plants) through cycle. The 1st of my current lot have only recently been put to 12/12 but eventually I'll have several plants at different ages in the flowering box, not sure I want to adjust times in such manner in this case. The idea strikes me that I could do dark, light, dark to the veg box before the plants are moved, it could be expected to have negligible effect on companions in veg which would return to 18/6 (or 20/4) after a small interruption.

 

Rather than the original idea that prompted the thread, going for a longer day under flower, the info presented is making me think that the power saving from shorter day may have more benefit than my original idea. Glad I asked, not sure what I'm gonna do about it yet though.

on the flowering period i give 12 1/2 hrs darkness - 11 1/2hrs daylight. your trickin the plant into flowering early ,signs within a week.

On 12-12 they take about 2 weeks to show. I leave it like this all the way to the end -but -thats my way and it works for me!
