Mixing sunlight with HPS light

Does anyone know anything about mixing daylight with HPS light in a veg stage?

 

example

putting your plants outside to give them 6 hours day light (during the middle of the day) + 12 hours of HPS light

 

 

possible benefits would be a reducing the time you need to power a light while maximizing your growth,

 

i really don't know what im talking about its just an idea id like some feedback on.

well its good nothing beats jah sun

and its bad

there is a big chance of comtamanating your grow room with pests from the out door period

and that is big problems

the pests will get out of control very quickly in the protected grow room enviroment

i would not recomended the practice

 

however

it is possible

if you take special care and are maticulass with you proceedures

you will succeed

What about mixing metal halide with high pressure sodium in a veg stage? (both lights are 400Watt)

 

Example 8 hours MH and 8 hours HPS in a veg stage

 

What is preferred for veg stage ? MH or HPS (i think ive read HPS is better for flowering not sure on veg tho)

 

Unfortunatly i cant run both at once its gotta be one or the other.

People use HPS for both veg and flower with good success. Some have been known to use MH for veg and flower also. All the stuff I have read says Mh for veg and HPS for flower. Just leave your MH on for veg.

Mixing one MH and one HPS will net significant benefits over just either alone.

yer called dual spectrum, and some manafacturs now make globes that have this mix in 1 so i am told, my last run i had 600hps n 400mh all way though flower but as was my first run, cannot tell u better or worse.

I have grown outside in summer period, and have used 1000w hps during middle of night hours, for 4 hours,

this will cause plants to flower early. enabling you to harvest then leave to regrow, making a late crop from

the same plants.
