That result shows that public awareness of the facts involving mj is on the increase, wonder how a news poll on legalisation or decriminalisation would go at the moment.

The next poll they should have is if you believe people suffering chronic pain should be excluded from treatment if they are Under 18 or have a criminal record.

Thats a good result, hopefully with numbers like that, it wont be long before it is legal Australia wide.

This is extremely heartening news! Who would have thought it'd be as high as 92%? I would have thought around the 80% mark.

In my opinion, I think it'd be around the 55-60% mark FOR legalisation. It's a pity that in the near future we won't see a poll like this... of course the government knows the majority of Australians don't give a rats ass about Marijuana laws, so they'll never let any opinion poll of the sort go ahead. It'd place democratic pressure on an issue that the Howard government is already quite firm about, i.e full legalisation.

 

Still, it's a step ahead, and it will surely pave the way. Once people see that medical users won't turn into raging fiery headed pot smoking demon-junkies, they'll be more sympathetic to the rest of the steretyped smoking community.

IMHO I dont think it would rate so highly in South Australia.....being a bastion of conservatism...and having both the labour and Liberal parties seriously jeopordize peoples freedoms...I dont think it would swing so well here.....Being known as the mj state of Australia has its drawbacks.....adversely affecting some peoples opinions as a drug crazed counter cultural breeding ground for communists and hippies.......

 

But it would be nice to see a poll not immediately after a major drug bust
