Flowering During Spring/ Warmer months

Recommended Posts

Hey guys is it possible to flower outdoors during spring, or are the days starting to get too long?

I dont want to have to wait and have plants outdoors til april/may next year.

Does anyone have any ideas on how i can force outdoor flowering late in spring? ie: moving plants to complete darkness early in the afternoon?

Sorry if these are silly questions, but I have no experience with plants outdoors.

Any help or ideas would be welcomed

Thanks in advance!!!

There is a good way to accomplish a 12/12 light cycle without moving plants twice a day, still takes some dedication as you will have to do the light cycle manually but a lot easier than lugging pots. lol

Build a frame big enough to cover the intended finished plants, works best for sog (or even better, scrog) style growing as they tend to be short, then cover it in 250 micron panda, two layers of 150 micron or 4 layers of black plastic. (if using panda put white side out to keep heat out), you then simply drop that over the plants at your chosen time and remove it again 12 hrs later.

To check for light leaks get under it while its sitting on the ground (in the daytime) and let your eyes adjust for a minute, if you cant see your hand in front of your nose then all is good (dont spend too long under there or you'll suffocate :peace: ).

only problems are...

size limited to what you can lift on and off by yourself  (without crushing the plants underneath)

if built square the top will catch water, A-frame works better

must be weighted or pegged in high winds or it turns into a kite lol

sort of obvious, draws attention to your plot, only to be used in fairly private yards. :faint:

otherwise works a treat...
