I don't know why you need to be so accurate. Close enough is generally good enough in a prop for cloning or seedling raising.

No I meant if it was 8 or 10c ambient would the 12w propagator raise the temp in the propagator to a min of 21c? Edited July 29, 2009 by tywyn

I believe most heat about 4-6°C above ambient

Thanks, maybe I'll invest in a thermostatic controlled one because I'm not leaving the heating on 24/7 just to maintain a min of 21c. They're a bit pricey but worth it considering how cold it can get here in winter. Edited July 30, 2009 by tywyn
