I would do a 3-4 day flush for the 1st plant, chop and then get the nutes back up for the other girl to keep going. You could try hand watering just the slower plant with small doses of nutes just to keep it perky while the other is flushing?

There is alot of opinion on the internet that flushing all together is bad, alot of experienced growers run full nutes right until the chop and swear by it not affecting flavor etc and that the plants are not starved during the flush hence more weight blah blah. Personal choice :)

Interesting point there Gibbo,

If you think about it, there are chemicals in the plant, regardless of wether you flush or not, as you've been feeding them the whole time, they are more or less permantly part of the plant. Guess thats why alot of people prefer organic.

maybe cheese could be a guinea pig, cut down the one thats ready without a flush, then flush the next one when it ready, see if you notice a difference. :)

i defo want to flush because ive heard that it wont smoke well and will have a ash taste if chopped unflushed i am going to flush for a week 3-4 day with canna flush and 3-4 days with plain water ive heard some growers flush every 2 weeks so i cant see why it should harm the smaller girl but unsure because this is my first ever grow

and why did the smaller girl take so long to flower?

Im not familiar with the strains, but perhaps one has sativa in it, they can take anywhere upto 14weeks or longer in some to flower.

Could also be a deficiency, how do the plants look? Any damaged leaves/spots etc?

As for flushing, the usual go is 7-14days, upto you really.

Woah , no need to SHOUT! mate :)

If you have already seen the "signs" that were a little "slow" to show .. then why can't you tell how a when the other one will be ready to flower then??? :toke:

Seriously , I don't get it ...

But , Yes , you flush them (at least a week imo) prior to harvest ofc ...

If it weren't so late I'd go find some science but I canna be bothered now ... I'm pretty sure that the roots of a plant intake and excrete matter ... most living things do this in one form or another , in fact I guess all living things do. :)

So therefore the flush ... theoretically the plant should be rid of much excess chemical matter in the process.

Ever tried using just water and No Nutrients? .. the plants lose colour as an obvious sign of "defficiency" to start with ... So the theory is that the less excess chemicals in the plant the better for the final product .. as in taste , harshness and other smokability considerations :bongon:

I've also heard of what Flatcat mentioned about converting the starches ... but i'm vague on that right now .. It's probably a part of the process , just like proper Drying and Curing of the budz are crucial to improving the final smokable product .. mucho chemicale reactione no doubt :freak:

I've always thought a week is fine (with a constant regular flush cycle throughout grow) .. but I have heard from people in the know that 10 days is the minimum time for final flush ... As always tho , each to their own :)

Always flush tho , at very least for a few days ... It's most important.

O.k. that's about all ...

Post some Pics if you can ... best way to receive comments and advice lol

Cheerz and Happy Growing :)

Budman lol

P.s. Should be a recommended flowering period for the particular strain ... go by that ... otherwize , look for about 70% red hairs or so (give or take 20% depending :D) , get a microscope or magnifying glass and check the colour of the Trichomes (resin crystal mushrooms :D ) ... failing that ... check pictures of other peoples finishing and harvested budz ... and failing that ... once bits of the Budz start to die off , harvest asap :peace: heheh. No Worries.
