Life of seeds?

Hey guys, firstoff sorry for perhaps an unclear title, i was unsure of the exact terms for my question;

 

i am looking into buying some seeds from a seedbank (possibly from holland?), and assuming mine arrive and everything looks ok from a glance - when do i have to start using the seeds to get them to germinate (i.e - is there a point that if i do not do anything to the seeds they still die eventually?)

Your seeds will last up to 3 years if you keep them in a cool dark air sealed container.

And you might be lucky and they last longer, ive found seeds lying around and theyve sprouted but not knowing how old they are.

dont buy discounted, or seeds on special deals cause they are all ready old. I once got seeds from nick at buydutchseeds.com
