electricity PRICING?

Recommended Posts

If it costs more for the electricity providers to produce electricity, then you should expect to pay more.

Look at WA electricity pricing, we have had the same price for 10 years as both sides decided to make it law that prices be frozen whilst the market was deregulated and privatised. Now we have the situation where the producers are getting less than cost back from the consumers. And we have to have a 25% increase in customer prices in one year than 2.5% per year over 10 years. I know which I'd prefer.

But ultimately, the cost of your electricity comes down to how much you use. If you get a big bill, rationalise your usage and change the way you do. Don't you remember your mum telling you to close the door and turn the light out? ::blink::

Luke you are 100% correct, I am glad that there are some people in WA that understand this!

If we didn't have successive governments playing politics and stupidly fixing electricity prices during times of unprecedented economic growth, then we wouldn't need the massive price rises that are occurring now.

And now the premier thinks that merging Synergy and Verve will somehow fix the problem! It won't fix the problem, it will brush the problem under the carpet for a while, until the next round of massive price rises.

Scrap all of the fucking politics, and make people (who can genuinely afford it) pay the actual cost of generating, transmitting and distributing electricity.

12.7 cents per KWH x 24 hours a day = $3.048 per day

$3.08 per day x 7 days = $21.33 per week

$21.33 a week x 52 = $1109........................................FUCKIN SORRY BOYS
