Recommended Posts

Nothing except those 250 ones on evilbay luke. Found a CAP one in the states, foun d a couple in the states, was just about to purchase and realised theyre 120V or 110 wotever...

I would have thought people wood use em on NFT.

Nah, most people just run them flat out in NFT and adjust flow rather than frequency.

Hrm, check out a copy of Maximum Yeild, I'm sure I saw one listed in there not that long ago. And don't be too hesitant to contact the people who make the CAP units, they may well make 240v versions for export, or can adjust one to suit. At the least they could point you in the right direction.

The normal program timer has programs, normally anywhere up to 20, that you program a day and time start and finish or any variation to this. Which is all ok for something like lights but the important thing is there is only 20 or so options.

Say if you wanted to run a pump for misters or drippers or something like that on a continuous cycle say 1min on/ 1 off it wouldnt do it as it only has 20 or so programs and at a 1/1 cycle that would require 720 programs a day. The cycle timer doesnt do the programs (well the expensive ones do), it just runs the cycle continuous, irrespective of the day or the time.

It doesnt sound difficult but trying to find one under 250 is fucking proving next to impossible. If you think about it it doesnt sound that hard really. I bought a 25$ kit from Jaycar which would have done it but on closer inspection while i could nut out the assembly I couldnt figure out the programming!

Its the cheapest by far! What did you expect to pay for an industry timer??? Other Hydro shops will charge minimum $50 on top of this price. These timers are the best you can get, egay intellicycle only have a 1 year warranty, sentinal gives a 3 year warranty. Also the adelaideaquaponics.com timers ARE converted for use in oz! Two importers I know of are out of stock, so goodluck on the wait time.
