Next question....

Recommended Posts

I asked in my previous thread but it had a different heading so... my room is 1.8m wide 2.4long and 2 high. Ive heard people mention before that 1K lamps put out a shitload of heat and Im worried about melting my walls.

So would 2 1000s be too much? or should i go 2 600s and 1 1000? or 3 or 4 600s? I want YEILD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(and answers)...

I'm looking into a 1.2x1.2x2 tent... and i was considering a 400W instead of a 600W to combat heat issues.

But like you said i want YEILD! so i'll go with 1x600W for the extra light penetration.

Your space is only slightly larger than mine and you are talking 2x1000W or more... craziness <_<

Mate, your area is 15sq.ft, mine is 25 - close to twice the size. Check the grow room calculator - your room, optimum is advised for 600W, the room I got is rated at 1800W. There's a big difference dont you think?!

The last run I did was in an area pretty close to yours (600 by 1200) and I used 2 400s. Now maybe my lamps where crap (lucagrow-1000hrs old) but if I had of had 2 600s to start with I would of been alot better off. I mean yeah, Ive gotten about 12-15oz a grow from my last 3 cycles but if I had of had those 600s... Everyday was a constant rearranging to find the light - I spent 2hours evry morn moving branches. Im tired of it

The thing is I'm over not having enuf light and havin to fuck round. I got the money now so I want to do it right. Everyone knows the story - if you dont do it properly the first time you'll do it again and, fuck me, the amount of times Ive done it...

I know wot you mean! I just got outa bed and was inclined to call you names but I caught myself and remembered how bad tempered I can be in the morning. Honestly man, I'd be considering 2 600s if i was you. As I said Ive grown with more in a smaller area and, yeah, you can do it but its just more work. I dont know, you hear people saying they got a 400 to cover these phenominal footprints but its never worked for me.

I'm kinda answerin my own question I guess, I feel I need 2 1000s but Im concerned about heat and while I feel i could do it with 3 600s I dont think i'll get a 600 to go 1.8 wide.

hey just kiddin' ... now look cal you need 3 x 600w and dont use chinese globes ok .. good i better go have my cones now <_<

lol

edit; if you are completely filling that area cal then you probably right in saying 600w not stretch 1.8m wide , mind you i do like to OD my plants on light though, i think you need 4 x 600 to be sure

Hey Frazz, I was wondering where you'd gotten to. Mate thats how I felt about 2hr ago. I almost flew off the handle then i thought, hey this guys only offering advice... I should leave it another 30mins before i turn it on - so should you!

I was going to go 4 rows of 4 on 400 centres. Or 4 rows of 3. And the last metre or so of the 2.2/2.4 length is for the aircon etc. You think 2 600s across the 1.8 would do it better than a 1K? Well obviously it would do it better but dont think a 1000K would do? Properly that is. Fuck it maybe I should just get another 2 600s. On one hand I dont want to spend more than I need to but on the other I dont want to not have enuf.

See thats why I ask as the companies tell us crap!
