BB, the cardboard box is lunacy. Give it away to some poor beggar to use as a blanket. Find yourself an area doing a 'council cleanup' and dumping shitloads of wardrobes and stuff and you'll get BETTER THAN A CARDBOARD BOX!

 

If the cardboard doesn't catch on fire it will collapse from humidity.

 

I'm part of the 'new wave' who reckon these geeks with their HID HPS/MH lights are just too slow getting on the bandwagon, I hope to have reasonable proof soon. 'saving the planet' is about smart use of available resources, and a small 'personal space' that can be used for personal enjoyment really shouldn't involve a large commitment.

Actually something simple like standing on the sidewalk in a busy city around 5.pm will show you how much good millions of cars do to the envionment.

 

anyway, back to the plan. As for the box, it's not as stupid as it seems as I wanted to get my seedlings started and I have no stash so it's quite urgent but the main thing is that it is a very strong, about 1 inch thick special cardboard box that my lawnmower came in and it's huge. As i said it is only temporay until my box is built and that should be completed in the next few days as I will be picking the timber up shortly. Also I only have one CFL 48 watt light and one 15 watt light in the box and it's only 20 degrees in there at the hostest time plus it has plenty of ventilation.
