Tassie Stoners Unite!

yes its great for people who dont have criminal records to sell pot . for me i fucked up when i was young now i got to suffer having under a bag on me at all times. they say fifty grams is the limit but when a cop sees a bag of weed they dont use discretion . when they see half a bag of weed or quarter bag they are more likely to use discretion. i think it depends on the cops glass half full or empty perspective. full bag of weed looks bad from most coppers eyes .

i just think it sucks because we dont have a plant allowance . i want two plants without fear of jail .

i have to be good for three years or i go to jail yes thats right JAIL for admitting to selling under pressure from pigs when i was young. this is how they pick on young stoners and wreck there lives . now im a criminal when the only reason i ever sold was so i could smoke for free. I was under the belief it was more of an offense to grow . i just didnt know my rights at all . if i had of just grown in the first place i would never have been been busted .

The laws in Tassie are very lenient IMHO. If we get caught growing more than 20 plants it is assumed that we are commercial growers with intent to sell, and the onus is on us to prove otherwise. So under 20 plants means that they have to prove intent.

We are allowed to have up to 1KG of dried buds/leaf/plant material before it is considered as a commercial quantity. That means we can have up to two pounds before they assume that we are sellers/traffickers/commercial distrubiters etc.

Then we have the "trade system". Whereas if you get taken to the cop shop for say drink driving, they empty your pockets and they find a small amount of bud (under 50 grams). They are so nice that they trade your buds for a flashy pamphlet. You get to do this trade three times before being taken to court, although admittedly this is at the arresting coppers discretion (so general rule,, be nice to the cunts :bongon:).

So all in all, Tasmania is a great place to be busted for growing/possessing Cannabis. But if you have already been done before then that changes everything. I could say that it is your own stupid fault for admitting it to them in the first place, but that would be rude, so I wont.

Are they 3 of the same flashy pamphlet? Or are there collector's editions? They could be worth a mint (or at least a good laugh) when pot becomes legal! <_<

Hey fellow Tasmanians. In terms of possesion I think Tasmania is not to bad and in my experiance, the police are fairly lenniant, I have been caught rolling a J out the front of the saloon. I agree with pychoresin, it sucks not being able to grow with the fear of criminal charges, if our countrys leaders in canberra are allowed 2 plants why cant we, double standards for tasmania...Thats just unheard of.
