Bud ready to Harvest?

Is this bud ready yet?

It has maybe a few white pistils maybe 5% or less. I have a few glands explode already, so I think it is good to go. I do not have a loop, so I am going by the pistils. It is on week 10 and this is the first bud that looks ready.

This is some really cheap bag seed, probably the cheapest you could buy, It turned out surprisingly good growing hydro though, It is definitely an outside plant.

If someone could help because I want to harvest this bud if its ready to give light to others below it.

More of same bud. I want to harvest so I can get more light below this top bud.

If you're happy with her mate and shes flushed, chop.

Or maybe consider topping her and letting the lower bud go longer. Let more light thro.

 

Trichs look mostly white in pic, some sparkle clear still.

Yea of course I want 50-50 cloudy and amber.

 

So the Trichomes are not on the pistils but all the one around the bud and leaf is where I look for the cloudy and amber trichomes. I can see them in the picture.

If I let it go for 1 more day will it make any difference? Will I lose any potency if I pull now or will it just be more uplifting because they are cloudy not yet amber?

It sucks because I am growing Aero and its been 1 week since I started to flush, I think I am going to have to pull these buds and go back to nutrients. I still have 7 tops that havent even started to turn red pistils yet.

 

---Another good question, I plan on using water extraction for the leaf and all, is this another factor I should consider?

Just take a sample off and quick dry it and try it - then you'll know whether it is ready by effect and taste

 

I usually put it in the oven at 100C in 10min bursts to quick dry it - just don't over do it!

when drying in the oven i dont go over 50 degree c to avoid thc degregation. 30 - 40 mins. then its not harsh

Yea my oven wont go below 150 F. I heard anything above 140 F will degrade or destory to thc. When it dries the water leaving the acid in the glands turns to thc or cbd something like that.

I tryed some out, def got a buzz, smells good but nothing as good a dried a cured bud!!

Best way i have found to quick dry a small sample is to put a plate over a saucepan with water on a very low simmer, chop it up a bit and constantly keep it turning to prevent over doing it. When sample is burnable remove it from the heated plate
