Hermaphrodite

I have an aeroponic setup growing white rhino and orange bud this morning i noticed little pods at the fist nodes under the flower heads of one plant, it is only the second week of flower, its an Amazon 32 pot and im using Dutch Hydro coco which isnt available in the shops yet it is a lab sample, i have recently give them a light spray of superbud every 2 days when lights are out. They were all grown from clones from healthy mothers so i have killed it off straight away taking no precautions, my grow room is a walk in wardrobe 4ft square, wall to wall mylar, light sealed using a 400 watt cooltube vented out through a carbon filter, 2 oscillating fans, an extra fan mounted in the door draws air into the room, using co2 tabs, air stone,

can i expect any of the others to become like this and can this one have pollenated the rest?

thanks.

provided the pollen sacs did not open no pollination would have occurred .. very likely that plant will continue to produce pollen sacs, if plant is of reasonable size its also a good chance it will form a pollen sac which you will not find before it releases and that will certainly pollenate flowers .. any signs of hermophadite and the plant should be removed, the risks of keeping them is far too great ...

kill the bitch and save yourself the grief and worry imo

I killed her off, this morning there were no signs of any other small pollen sacks, i am growing for my dad who has bone marrow cancer which has killed off his kidneys, i have been making hemp oil for him but the weed i was buying could be anything, i wanted indica for the cbn content to help with his illness, the first weed i was buying was cheese which was ok but didnt help him sleep he was getting hyperactive and agitated, so i got given a copy of seemore buds where i got the idea to grow in a confined place using aero, i dont smoke weed and iam a tattoo artist by trade in the UK with 2 other artists working for me........so i have tried to cut no corners,

There have been a few fkups along the way the first one was when another grower told me to mist spray them with water me taking his word sprayed them with the light on and they blistered and wilted, but the main fkup was the local hydroponics shop gave me a 3 part coco by Dutch Hydro which is not available yet in the shops yet and told me that the grower was bloom and the bloom was grower which wasnt corrected until the 1st week into flower where they stretched 12 inches in 3 days, obviously it was too much grower instead of bloom, today the w rhinos stand at 39 inches high and pretty dense.

The guy who gave me the cuttings (which i also propergated in the Amazon) has been growing from the same mother plants for the last 2 years in soil and has never had any genetic cockups, though the same batch of clones he took at the same time grown in soil only stand at around 18 inches high and look skinny,i have been reading lots of info on hermaphrodites recently and to my surprise it sounds like they are quite common, this is a big learning curve to me as the last time i did a grow was in 88 in soil, i smoked it back then,

thanks for your help, no disrespect to you telling me piss off i should of given you a better intro, i do a few Tattoo forums where we get a lot of bullshitters too.

Sounds to me like you got unlucky, I have seen otherwise good plants turn hermi after large environmental disturbances (light cycle change, extreme heat or humidity, starvation). I would guess that the guy you got them off has been fairly consistent in his growing, with little stress fot the plants. However the changes between his grow style and yours were probably enough to trigger the hermi gene, a small light leak or incorrect Ph would do it... of course the plant always had the tendency to hermi, your mate must be bloody lucky or a very good grower :D

The mother came from seed where it was grown, cloned, put into flower then sexed, more clones were then taken and put into veg where more clones were then taken, this has been going on for around 2 years from the same strain of clones with average to good results grown in soil, i took 4 clones of the above mentioned strain and 10 of orange bud which were all propergated aeroponically, they all rooted some faster than others, i started them off using tap water left to stand for 2 days then ph`ed, some of the clones didnt root till 3 weeks.
