Help determining sex please....

Recommended Posts

My plants are just shy of 2 weeks into flower and all have started to show sex. Just before I go and destroy (what I believe to be male) plants ;) I wanted to get a second opinion so I can sleep better at night!

I've noted next to each picture the sex that I think is showing but I'd appreciate everyone's opinion on the sex of each of these....

Plant 1 - Female (I think...)

Hey Sol,

Yeh man ... that look correct to me ... little bit hard to tell on a few but so don't quote me ;)

Pretty simple , just don't chuck any of them until they actually grow balls you have a few days minimum before there is any pollen released :D

Because the Males tend to flower earlier than their female counterparts , the other plants you have could still potentially show balls , hard to draw a line between a male and a Hermie sometimes I think lol

Here's hoping the rest are ladies for ya mate ;)

Happy Growing ;)

Plant 2 - Male .......................................................MALE

Plant 3 - Male ........................................................MALE

Plant 4 - Female ................................................. FEMALE

Plant 4 - Female ..................................................? FEMALE - LITTLE OUT OF FOCUS BUT AGREE

Plant 5 - Male .......................................................? WONT CDALL IT NOT IN FOCUS ENOUGH !

Plant 6 - Female ....................................................? ONE LONE TICH (Strange one ; girly/boy hermie ?)

Plant 7 - Male ..................................................................................... MALE - YA BEST BOY.

Plant 8 - Female .................................................................................. FEMALE (A 'spiky bitch sati ?)

You have a few (hypothesize 2, 3 but more than one strain)

I've been following your thread SSS & think thats the case ;)

It would be good if they are different strains to list with the plant #'s their names along side ........ top pic effort SSS - I need more optical zoom ! & more practice ............... are you old enough to remember the days when you had to wait 3 days and pay for development ?

I do

Effort ! SSS & all the best ;)

:peace:

Cheers Nitty! Thanks for weighing in your opinion on the sex....it's valued. I think from what you and others are saying they probably need to mature a little further to conclusively tell the male/female/hermi so I'll do just that and report back ;) I was just paranoid about the boys getting frisky with my little ladies.

As for the number of strains they're all (supposedly) the same White Russian I bought from HGS. Plants 1,2 and 3 were a little stunted in their vegetative development due to transplant shock, being root-bound, shoved into perlite then under fed where 4-9 have always lived in soil. That may explain some of the differences but I wouldn't be surprised if I've got a few "mystery" seeds from HGS as plants 8 and 9 grew at a massively more advanced rate than the others. I'd always put it down to proximity to light, cool air etc.

As for the pics, yeah it may well be time for me to invest in a camera with an anti-shake option to get rid of the focus issues!
