Pruning

Hello everyone!!

 

I am in the fourth week of flowering 10 plants in coco and was wondering when and if I should start pruning some of the larger fan leafs off to allow more light to access the bud sites, how much should I take off? any particular methods?

 

I have heard of the 'Staircase Method' where you take of every second leaf on alternate sides of the plants, has anyone tried this......just want my buds to grow big!!!

 

...interestingly I have topped a few of the plants and fimmed some, as well as letting others grow naturally, will post some photos soon showing which method is the most effective for bud production and weight

Hi raven6,

 

I usually take the fan leaves off when they are either dying or blocking the light from reaching buds.

It won't hurt the plant, just don't go crazy taking them off - you need some of them

Where abouts exactly are you suppose to cut the fan leaf, right back at the stem or do you just cut all the leave off and leave a stick/club branch there?

 

I am just marinating at the moment
