At the end of the day, there are more pot growers per head of population in SA than any state in Australia. More Hydroponic stores in Adelaide than sydney and then there are all the small hardware stores and landscape/garden supply stores that also have small discreet hydroponic sections in them that I have discovered in Adelaide. One estimate I heard back in 2003 was that there were more than 100 000 hydroponic growrooms in suburban Adelaide. Seeing how busy some hydro stores seem to be (I've been in ones were I have to wait to be served) I think the police will have there work cut out for them trying to police all this.. What is a hydroponic store anyway, there are ones here that double as Home Brew Stores, Aquarium and Hydroponic supplies etc, very difficult to define imho..

Hi there, I work in a Highly popular hydroponics shop in Adelaide SA and have first hand experience of some of what is going on here and would like to offer some insights ,

firstly the laws that state unlawful use of lights and carbon filters is already in place and the fines are small reports already indicate $100-$300 per Item tagged onto the fine for growing prohibited plants.

We deal with many types of customer from government schools like Urbrae agricultural college to ex farmers experimenting with bio-organic low water growing systems to many firmly rooted in the old ways of simply being self sufficient growers of plants for food and medicine carrying on what is natural with experiential knowledge handed down over millennia.

 

The police have started visiting shops to prepare them for what is basically a police shutdown of an industry valued at over a 100 million per year with many hundreds of tax paying staff and Millions in GST and business tax in the SA economy ,

The separation of police and state is what makes a democracy otherwise we are no different to burma where corporations like Huthchinson 3 mobile operate the key ports and phone networks enabling the most brutal military regime to operate with international income.

 

If we dont get an ICAC in SA we are Screwed!!!! as organised crime is top down and always has been ,

 

All the So called obvious Bikie shops which wasn't even 10% of the shops in SA have already Closed ,

Shops that were engaged in onsite dealing and money laundering have already been caught!

 

99% of the shops in Adelaide are really cool people with good integrity , the VERY small percentage of crime has been blown way out of proportion, but there was no babies thrown overboard , or weapons of mass destruction were there!!! .

 

EVERYWHERE the POLICE have been given LICENSING POWER the CORRUPTION has been SO BAD the units/sections have been DISBANDED!!!!!!

 

To give a police commissioner unheard of powers including the use of hearsay evidence to deny anyone he personally chooses from getting a license including ANY shop staff member is unbelievable to say the least and organised crime underbelly style which dosnt exist in the industry here like it does in VIC will be running the show paying once honest police lured by the easy money from an industry stolen from people who never stole or hurt anyone ever!!!!.

 

Vote independent to break their monopoly or the freedom australia mob to send a message that the overlord military dominator mentality of "father knows best" Rule is Over!!!!!

 

Keep on Growing , it is the singly most honorable thing anyone can do as an act of "Freedom"

Use your sovereignty to Grow as Much as you can as Well as you can cause you cant get better than it anywhere!!!!!

Hey mate, good to hear from an insider on this issue. Is there any word of a legal challenge on this or is anyone seeking some kind of legal advice? You would think that any law targeting shops specifically would have difficulty facing a decent challenge in a higher court.
