Which EC and PH Meters does everyone use?

Hi guys,

Need to get me one of each, and was wondering which meters are u guys using?

 

does it matter which brand u go for? or is the generic ebay ones good enough?

I find that you want a very reliable and accurate PH pen - so my advice is spend $100+ on one. For EC I just have a $35 ebay pen drop shipped strait from hongkong. I don't bother calibrating it either as I know how many capfuls it takes to get the readings I want and only use it for verification.

For EC or PPM I use a Bluelab Truncheon by NZ Hydroponics - Lifetime guarantee and simple to use

 

As for PH I use a Digitech PH Pen - about $75, dead accurate and reliable

 

I have used cheap ones from eBay before but they always die quickly

jimbo is right i got a $35 pH and a $45 truncheon from fleabay and they are both ready for the bin after 5 months

both now massively inaccurate and cant calibrate (pH is stuck on 4.00 and under) and EC reads low

get a bluelab truncheon and a decent ph pen and no more hassles

some people dont even check their water at all but why take that risk?

Blue lab truncheon and cheapo pH pen.

 

when a trucheon starts to play up take to the probes with a little jif and clean thoroughly, otherwise replace it.

 

Had to return my truncheon to NZ; was repaired and returned free of charge.
